The Havelock is a family-run pub hotel by the seaside in Nairn. It has a welcoming, informal atmosphere and a lively bar. The building has a fascinating history. It was once the summer house of the Emir of India. The house is named after Major General Sir Henry Havelock (1795-1857). He was a much admired English general, the only one to command a Scottish brigade. His statue is in Trafalgar Square, London.
