Can you believe it? November is here already and Christmas is chapping at our door once again! But, there is plenty of fun to be had in Inverness this November, so let’s look at Inverness Taxi’s top 3 events in Inverness this November!

Inverness Bonfire Night

Sunday 5th November 2023

Starting at 5pm

Bught Park, Inverness

The event starts at 5pm with Hornes Funfair and an exciting catering village. This is followed by a performance by Fly Agaric Fire Display Team at 5:30pm. The bonfire will then be lit at 6pm with a 20-minute fireworks display at 7pm.

This is a free event, supported by the Inverness Common Good Fund.

Pedestrians are asked to note that, for public safety, the Infirmary footbridge will be closed on bonfire night (Sunday, 5 November) before and after the event.

Drivers are reminded that parking restrictions will be in place around the Bught area on Sunday night (5 November), with priority access maintained for the emergency services, disabled drivers, and local residents throughout the night. A disabled parking area for Blue Badge holders will be located at the city centre end of the grandstand at Bught Park and drivers are asked to enter by the entrance close to the junction of Torvean Avenue and Dunachton Road. All other drivers are asked to use the 2,800 plus car parking spaces available in the city centre and to park considerately if choosing to leave their vehicle elsewhere.

Monsterfest – A Wee Monster

After its successful 2022 debut in Eden Court, Monsterfest I thinkreturns for a one day festival – a Wee Monster, on Saturday 4th November.

Once again, some of the newest, trail blazing rock bands emerging from the UK scene descend on Inverness to light up the stage on their journey to become the next big thing. This year’s festival has Scarlet Rebels from Wales who hit the official album charts at number 7 with their second album and feature Pete Townshend of the Who’s nephew in their ranks. With a real US sound and influence, Halloween themed rockers South of Salem have been thrilling audiences with their live show up and down the UK.

Scotland has a new rising star in the band Anchor Lane who have already played Download and are tipped for bigger things. SKAM, Marisa and the Moths and Kit Trigg make their debut performances in the Highlands. While Scottish acts North Atlas and Silent Thievesmake a return to Inverness.

Working with Development Young Workforce, the festival runs education workshops for school students. And this year will also see some of the students participate in the main day event.
